What is Ayurveda? 

Ayurveda, a natural system of medicine, with historical roots in the India which was developed more than 3,000 years ago. It’s based on the belief that health and wellness depend on a delicate balance between the mind, body, and spirit.

The term Ayurveda is derived from the Sanskrit words ayur (life) and veda (science or knowledge).  

In Ayurveda, the five elements that are found in all living things—space, air, fire, water, and earth—are considered the building blocks of life. These combine to create three mind-body principles, known as doshas, within the body: Vata (air and space), Pitta (fire and water), and Kapha (water and earth).

The body type of a person depends on their physical and emotional attributes.

According to Ayurveda, the root cause of any disease is always the imbalance of tridoshas, or body humors, which further manifests as imbalance in other body components inevitably leading to disease

What is Abhyanga  ?

Abhyanga is one of the most popular and recommended therapies in Ayurveda.

A Sanskrit term, abhyanga means “massaging the body’s limbs” or “glowing body.” It is derived from abhi, meaning “into” or “glow,” and anga meaning “limb.”

This practice involves rhythmically massaging warm, medicated oils over the entire body in order to loosen toxins and relax the nervous system. As the oils sink gently into your skin, you’ll experience deep rest, nourishment, and rejuvenation.
